Three Mountains Cocoa was born from a fundamental belief: sustainable transformation commences at its foundation. The origins of Three Mountains Cocoa may seem unexpected, as they trace back to the rainy climate of England. Three Mountains Cocoa was born from a fundamental belief: sustainable transformation commences at its foundation. The origins of Three Mountains Cocoa may seem unexpected, as they trace back to the rainy climate of England. Leslie Agyare, the founder, sought nothing more than a high-quality cup of dairy-free hot chocolate to combat the dreary English weather.
As a fervent superfood enthusiast, Leslie was disheartened by the inability of his local barista to provide a satisfying milk-free hot chocolate experience. This seemingly small inconvenience ignited an unforeseen voyage of exploration and enlightenment, ultimately leading Leslie back to his familial roots in the heart of Ghana.
Leslie soon found himself fully immersed in the cocoa communities of Asante Akim South, nestled within Ghana’s mountainous Asante Region. Motivated by the farmers’ inspiring narratives and the captivating natural surroundings, not to mention the cocoa itself, Leslie’s mission transformed.
In 2020, Leslie established Three Mountains Cocoa and collaborated closely with the local Ghanaian communities to create the Three Mountains Organic Cooperative Union. Throughout this remarkable journey, Leslie’s unwavering commitment to fostering enduring change has remained steadfast, firmly rooted at the very beginning.
Since then, the TMC timeline has been a story of great accomplishments and big moves to secure the future of the TMC communities.2021
